Set on the hillside of Mount Scanzi, just 15 minutes drive from historic Kangaroo Valley Village, our fully self-contained Australian country cottage enjoys spectacular 180 degree views over the beautiful Morton National park. Set on 30 acres of natural bushland and rainforest, Morton Valley Views offers you a chance to experience nature at its best and we are delighted to invite you to enjoy our family friendly accommodation.
Early risers should be on the lookout for wallabies and kangaroos grazing in the lower paddocks. During the day you can marvel at the abundance of birdlife including Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Galahs, Cockatoos and Kookaburras as well as spiralling hawks and eagles. Night revellers will be able to catch a glimpse of the many wombats that inhabit the property. Our more energetic guests will find that the surrounding area provides a wide variety of trails for both the novice and more experienced bush walkers.
Morton Valley Views has been designed to take full advantage of the spectacular views with huge windows surrounding a large open plan living area. In winter you can snuggle up in the warmth of a wood fire whilst in summer the numerous ceiling fans and gentle hill top breezes provide a cool retreat.
The cottage can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 6-8 people. The two main bedrooms each comprise Queen beds with french doors opening onto the verandah and the spectacular morning sunrise. The third bedroom can sleep up to 4 with a set of bunks, a single bed and an additional pull-out mattress. Fresh linen, including sheets, doonas and towels is provided for all guests.
You'll apprerciate the fully equipped country kitchen and laundry as well as an extensive collection of books and magazines, plus cards, chess, bocce and a variety of other games, along with a cd stereo, TV and DVD/video player and over 60 videos for all the family.
We aim to offer our guests everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing or entertaining country escape.
All you need to bring with you is your food and perhaps a bottle of your favourite wine to enjoy as you watch the sunset...
